Dr. Narender Nagarwal, Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale), Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi has obtained his LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Besides having Ph.D. in Constitutional Law, he has qualification of UGC NET in Law and Political Science and is widely recognised for his writing in critical areas of secularism and minorities rights.
Dr Nagarwal started his academic life from University of North Bengal, Darjeeling and also served in Pondicherry Central University, Puducherry to a brief stint. Dr. Nagarwal has special research interest in Constitutional Law and Human Rights (especially the Protection afforded to Minorities, Dalits and other oppressed sections of the society).
Dr. Nagarwal has authored many research papers and book chapters and is a known name in Minorities Law and Law Relating to Freedom of Religion, whose work has opened up new areas of research on conceptions of Minorities Law in India and South Asia. He also writes on issues surrounding Secularism, Media Law and State Crime. Currently, he is working on the emerging role of state institutions and issue of governance including human rights mechanism and changing role of judicial system in India.
