Dr. Narender Nagarwal

Dr. Narender Nagarwal, Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale), Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi has obtained his LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Besides having Ph.D. in Constitutional Law, he has qualification of UGC NET in Law and Political Science and is widely recognised for his writing in critical areas of secularism and minorities rights. Apart from teaching and research responsibilities, he is managing CLC website affairs and also holds the post of Convener of Committee for Discrimination against SC/ST/OBC and Minorities in Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.

At Campus Law Centre his major areas of teaching are Constitutional Law, Human Rights and Media Law. He began his academic journey from University of North Bengal, Darjeeling and he had also been associated with Pondicherry Central University, Puducherry to a brief stint. His research interest focuses on Constitutional Law and Human Rights (especially the Protection afforded to Minorities, Dalits and other oppressed sections of the society).

He has authored many research papers and book chapters and is a known name in Minorities Law and Law Relating to Freedom of Religion, whose work has opened up new areas of research on conceptions of Minorities Law in India and South Asia. He was Editor of Indian Journal of Law and Justice (A Listed Journal under UGC Care List) from 2012 to 2018.
