Vijoy Vivekananda Panicker has specialized in criminal law and commercial laws and is pursuing his Ph.D. on the topic “Rights of Transgenders in India: A Socio-Legal study” from Sikkim Central University at Gangtok, Sikkim. He has worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Law, Sikkim Central University for more than four years. Prior to joining Faculty of Law, Delhi University he was teaching Law of Torts, Law of Crimes, International Law and Judicial Process at graduate and post-graduate levels at Sikkim Central University, Government Law College, Cochin, Kerala, Law College Dehradun, and Dr. Ambedkar Law College, Tirupati, Andra Pradesh. He has presented papers in both national and international conferences and also has published in journals of national repute.
